Monitoring & Reports

See what your network is actually doing, in real time

A firewall that only blocks things is only half the job. Firecradle also shows you exactly what is happening on your network right now, and keeps a record so you can look back later.

Dashboards · Top talkers · NetFlow · SNMP · Syslog · PDF reports

Live dashboards for everything on the box

System health, services, interfaces, and internet gateways, all on one screen that updates itself.

One screen for the whole box
System health, services, network interfaces, and internet gateways, all on live dashboards you can check in seconds.
Graphs over time
CPU, memory, and how much data each interface is moving, charted over the last hour, day, or month.
Watch each internet line on its own
Every WAN connection gets its own SLA history of delay, jitter, and lost packets, so you can see which line is having a bad day.
Services and gateways
See at a glance which background services are healthy and which internet gateways are up, down, or struggling.
Firecradle monitoring screen showing time-series graphs for CPU load, memory use, and interface throughput over the last 24 hours
CPU, memory, and every interface, charted over time. No extra software to install.

See who is using the bandwidth, right now

When the network feels slow, this is where you find out why in seconds instead of guessing.

Top talkers
A live list of which device is using the most bandwidth right now. Handy the moment the office Wi-Fi feels slow.
Live connections, with a kill switch
See every open connection on the network. If one looks wrong, close it with one click.
A map of live connections
The same connections plotted on a world map, so a device quietly talking to an unexpected country stands out.
Firecradle Top Talkers screen listing devices ranked by current bandwidth use, with the busiest device highlighted at the top
The busiest device on the network, ranked live.
Firecradle connection map showing live network connections plotted as lines on a world map between the office and destination countries
Live connections plotted on a map. An unexpected country stands out immediately.

Send it to the tools you already run

Firecradle keeps its own dashboards, but it can also feed everything to a monitoring or logging system you already have.

NetFlow / IPFIX export
Send a summary of who talked to whom, and how much data moved, to the reporting tool you already run.
Read-only SNMP
Firecradle answers SNMP queries, so it shows up on the same monitoring dashboard as the rest of your gear.
Remote syslog forwarding
Forward logs to a syslog server, a SIEM, Graylog, or Loki, so nothing is lost if the box itself goes offline.
Packet capture on demand
Record raw traffic to a pcap file and download it, for the times a problem makes no sense any other way.
Scheduled PDF reports
A summary report, emailed to you on a schedule, without anyone having to log in and go looking for it.
Built-in diagnostics
Ping, traceroute, a DNS lookup tool, routing tables, and open sockets, all from the same screen.

How people actually use this

The office Wi-Fi suddenly feels slow

The problem: Everyone complains the network has slowed down, but nobody knows why, and guessing wastes half the afternoon.

What Firecradle does:
Open Top Talkers and see which device is using the bandwidth
Check the live connections list for anything unexpected
Close the connection with one click if it should not be there
Confirm the fix by watching the graph settle back down

Proving which internet line is the flaky one

The problem: A business runs two internet lines and suspects one of them, but has no record to point to when calling the provider.

What Firecradle does:
Firecradle tracks latency, jitter, and packet loss for each line separately
History is kept over time, not just the current moment
Export the same data as NetFlow to a reporting tool if you already run one
Show the provider the numbers instead of a guess

Everything here is included

No extra box, no separate licence

Live dashboards for system, services, interfaces, and gateways
Time-series graphs, kept over hours, days, and months
Top talkers, refreshed live
A connections viewer with a one-click kill switch
A geographic map of live connections
Per-WAN history of latency, jitter, and packet loss
NetFlow / IPFIX export to your own reporting tool
Read-only SNMP, so Firecradle shows up on your usual dashboard
Remote syslog forwarding to a SIEM, Graylog, or Loki
On-demand packet capture, downloadable as a file
Scheduled PDF reports, emailed to you
Alerts sent where you already work: email, Slack, Teams, Telegram, or a webhook
A mobile app with push alerts, so you hear about problems away from your desk
Built-in diagnostics: ping, traceroute, DNS lookup, routes, and sockets

Common questions

Do I need extra software to see any of this?

No. The dashboards, graphs, top talkers view, and connection map are all built into Firecradle. Exporting to a SIEM or a NetFlow collector is optional, for teams who already run one.

What can I actually do from the live connections list, not just look at?

You can close any connection with one click. That is useful the moment something looks wrong and you want it stopped immediately, without writing a firewall rule first.

Can I get a report without logging in to check?

Yes. Set up a scheduled report and Firecradle emails it to you as a PDF, on whatever schedule you choose.

Is packet capture something only an expert can use?

It is aimed at troubleshooting a stubborn problem, so it does take some know-how to read the result. But starting one and downloading the file takes one click each.
